This three-day darkroom workshop offers an immersive introduction to analog photography, with a focus on black-and-white film development and traditional darkroom printing techniques. Participants will work from shooting to final print, learning how an image is born, selected, and transformed in the darkroom.

The workshop combines technical training with a hands-on creative process, guiding participants through every stage of analog image-making — from exposed film to exhibition-ready prints.

 Lead Facilitator

Adil Sokolović is a photographer with a degree in Economics who discovered his passion for photography in his teenage years through his father’s camera. Inspired by Henri Cartier-Bresson and the power of black-and-white composition, he is drawn to the “decisive moment” as the essence of visual storytelling. From his first broken Zenit camera to a lifelong fascination with analog processes, Adil’s work is rooted in the tactile nature of photography — from light measurement to chemical development in the darkroom. Through his workshops, he shares hands-on knowledge of photographic and photo-chemical processes, helping participants develop their own visual language.

 Pre-Workshop Preparation

Two weeks before the workshop, an online introductory session will take place. During this meeting, participants will be introduced to the workflow, technical basics of film photography, and the full schedule of activities. Film rolls will be distributed in advance, allowing participants time to shoot their material before entering the darkroom.
