For his photojournalistic work, Damir has been awarded the world’s most important professional awards, including the Pulitzer Prize and the World Press Photo Award, and in 2017 he was awarded Reuters Photographer of the Year. He is a lecturer at the Sarajevo Academy of Performing Arts and director of the WARM Foundation – an international foundation that deals with contemporary world conflicts, reporting on war, war memory, and the promotion of new talents and education. The foundation was founded by some of the most famous war reporters from around the world.
