Exhibition Opening + Artist Talk │ Wind Family with Stefan Đorđević at History Museum of BiH

Friday 05 June 19:30

Wind Family is a photographic essay about the author’s family as they navigate the pain of losing a loved one. After Stefan lost his mother to illness, he moved to the countryside to be with his grandparents and the rest of his mother’s family, searching for closeness, continuity, and a way to remain present within grief.

The exhibition reflects on change, the passage of time, and everyday family relationships through photographs, personal objects, and symbolic elements. It explores the texture of life, and grief as something woven into the world around us.

The photographs and personal belongings, do not speak directly about the loss, but about life itself, about transformation, time passing, daily struggles, and relationships that are nurtured and endure.

One such relationship began in 2020, when the exhibition A Diary About Mom was presented at Kulturni centar Beograda’s Artget Gallery. It told the story of Negrica Neca Đorđević through the photographs of her sons, Stefan and Boško.

Wind Family exhibition is presented on the occasion of the theatrical release of Wind, Talk to Me, the film that brought Stefan Đorđević a series of international recognitions.

Stefan Đorđević (1987, Serbia) was introduced to film through the feature fiction film Tilva Roš, in which he plays one of the two leading roles.
