SPF Lectures at the Academy of Fine Arts
The second edition of Sarajevo Photography Festival was marked with multiple lectures at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo.
The visitors had the opportunity to attend a lecture by Bertan Selim, editor, curator and consultant specializing in awarding international grants in the field of photography. As part of that lecture, the visitors were able to hear the documentary photographer Mitar Simikić who spoke about his project ‘Mila’, realized with the support of the VID Foundation.
The second lecture on the second day of the festival is a lecture by the INLAND collective. Inland is a group of 14 international photographers dedicated to envisioning long-term documentary projects and developing untold, deep stories. As an innovative structure created by photographers and experts, Inland functions as its own agency, building projects on a global scale to capture the contradictions of a changing world.The lecture was led by Vladimir Živojinović.
One of Inland’s primary missions is to promote and encourage emerging photography around the world, providing education and support to nurture the next generation of visual storytellers.
The last day of the festival started with a lecture by professor Iza Razija Mešević on the topic of artificial intelligence and copyright at the Academy of Fine Arts.
Official partners of the festival are the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton, the City of Sarajevo, ASA Bank and BH Telecom.
