As of today, applications are open for the first edition of the Sarajevo Photography Award and the Sarajevo Photography Festival, which will take place from 13th to 15th of May 2022. in Sarajevo Vijećnica.

The competition is international and gives the opportunity to photographers of all ages, professionals and amateurs, to present their work to the public, and win valuable prizes. The competition will be open until April 30, 2022, and photographers will compete in 8 categories: documentary photography (series), portrait, fashion photography, weddings, mobile photography, life, creative photography and landscape/urban landscape.

Finalists and award-winning photographers will have the opportunity to exhibit their work at a major closing exhibition on May 14 at Vijećnica (Sarajevo City Hall). The winner of the entire competition will receive a Grand Prix prize in the amount of 2 500 EUR.

In addition to the competition, the Festival will include professional lectures in the field of visual arts, which will be open and free for all interested.
